✜ is a minimalist house located in Kyoto, Japan, designed by ninkipen!. This is a 40-year-old vintage mansion renovation located in the northwestern part of Kyoto City. The given plot has a cross-shaped plane, and although it is a condominium, it has some windows in the north, south, east, and west. The plan before dismantling was completed for each room simply by giving windows to each private room. The pillars and beams that appear symbolically in the cross-shaped grid were made to be free from the partition wall and exposed as concrete to reveal the terrain.
