This is a semi-detached house on both sides on a typical lot in Rua Atlântica, and which had already undergone renovation in the 1990s. In this intervention, the central space of the house was rearticulated by a double-height ceiling in which the thick, square mass looms loosely, surrounded by zenithal light that bathes the interiors with a soft, homogeneous, and changing light. In the void that reverberates the white and sound of the piano, two walls contain the staircase that reveals to the dweller permanent abstract cutouts in the path between floors.

On the upper floor, the walkway next to the ceiling changes the perception of scale to give access to the bedrooms located in the front and back of the building. Under the bedrooms, minimum height kitchen and dining table open to the front garden through a large glass screen, while the living room projects through the balcony towards the large back garden of the lot. The zenithal light that penetrates by washing the walls radically transforms the white and the space according to the climate and the seasons.

The environment can take on a bluish tint on sunny days, grayish on rainy days, orangey in the late afternoon, in a constant mutation that reveals the subtleties of the light spectrum and its intensities on the absence of color.

The living room floor in roman travertine and the sumptuous bathrooms in noble marble and gold were kept intact, with only the addition of a bathroom to the master suite.
