This project is an interior design for an unusual art hotel, “BnA _WALL”, where every room in one hotel building is designed by multiple artists.

The concept of the hotel is that “you can become a patron by staying in an art work,” and a portion of the accommodation fee will be returned to the artist who designed it. It is a project like a new patron system, where a large number of people share a single work of art.

Since it was an art project, each room was assigned to an artist, and we were the only ones who normally work in architecture or interior design. Therefore, instead of adding art to the function of the hotel, we decided to enter the project as designers by designing rooms that behave “like works of art” while maintaining the necessary facilities and functions of the hotel.

Each room in the hotel is given a title, and our room is called “Framed Function,” in which the necessary functions of the hotel are framed and displayed as if they were works of art.

At first glance, the room appears to be a simple white walled room with abstract objects of the same color on display.
The largest square in front of the room is a hugging pillow embedded in the wall. In addition, a table and table legs, a tray used on the bed, a mirror, and indirect lights are displayed as if they were artworks. In other words, there is no art in this room, but abstracted and framed functions themselves.
