The original plan of the project presented a large balcony and a disproportionately smaller living room, the design idea was to redesign this area thinking that several activities could be performed at the same time in that space. The element that organizes this large area is a white carbon steel box, which embraces the existing concrete pillar, and articulates each face with its specific environment with its function: china cabinet, wine cellar, and TV rack.
板块被剥离，使混凝土和管道暴露在外，此外还大大增加了天花板的高度。地板收到了tauarí镶木地板和卡拉拉大理石，在客厅和阳台区域遵循相同的布局。
The slab was stripped leaving the concrete and pipes exposed, and the ceiling height was significantly increased. The floor received tauarí parquet and carrara marble following the same layout in the living room and balcony area.

The main access hall to the apartment got a new face with the color indigo blue, inspired by Frida Kahlo, a passion of the resident, and also with the help of a diagonal element made in carpentry that allows a larger arrival space and also configures a toy room and an access to the kitchen of the day-to-day.

The furniture is all by Brazilian designers such as Sergio Rodrigues, Bruno Carvalho, Gustavo Bittencourt, Athos Bulcão, and Estúdio Bola, with a touch of classic pieces of world design such as George Nelson’s clock, Fornasetti plates, Ray and Charles Eames, Ingo Maurer, and Aeron Saarinen. The Mole armchair with fabric by the Danish Kvadrat connects with the blue hall where the straw and wood bench was placed to serve as a support to take off the shoes. Right at the entrance of the apartment the Sela swing, by De Carvalho Atelier, is the joy of children and shows that the apartment has a free soul. The bathroom is the great love of the apartment’s inhabitant and was entirely covered in Traço model tiles by Lurca and finished with the Lucellino sconce by Ingo Maurer.

The couple’s suite was designed to make the most of the space possible. The cabinetry was designed minimally to meet the needs of the residents who were moving from a larger house to the new apartment. The suite’s balcony was integrated with the bedroom, where the husband’s closet and the couple’s home office are located. The bathroom with white tiles and carrara countertops has the maximum transparency to be flooded by natural light, besides being visually more integrated with the bedroom.
