The project for the new offices of Cointec tries to prepare a commercial space in front of Severo Ochoa Park, in the city of Orihuela. The space was presented in rough, only with a metal structure built to house a mezzanine.
The depressed position of the premises with respect to the roads and the fact of being in a flood zone were decisive for the creation of a high level in the access area, which served as protection against runoff water.
The project draws a distribution in which it is intended to favor the sense of spaciousness creating a continuous space compartmentalized only through the precise position of pieces of furniture and glass partitions that visually connect the different rooms.
The staircase and toilets are located at the bottom of the room, allowing a greater area of free space in the front area. A central band resolves the storage space needed for work spaces and the passage of air conditioning and air renewal facilities.

The materiality of the project is characterized by the use of a continuous concrete pavement, which resolves all the rooms of the office and harmonizes with the satin stainless steel profiles of the screens. The stone used for the construction of the bench located in the hall generates the intended contrast with the pavement and accentuates its unique character.

We understood that society demanded architects an architecture capable of facing periods of crisis and optimizing resources to achieve more quality with less cost.
Our proposal tries to offer honest architecture works taking austerity and simplicity as main values. The offices for Cointec have been created from that perspective, obtaining that the expressiveness of the space comes given by the proportions, the matter and the light “.
