House in Estrela is a minimalist residence located in Lisbon, Portugal, designed by Aires Mateus. The home is characterized by a concrete facade surrounded by traditional suburban homes. The interior utilizes wood accents to contrast against the stark concrete, and features a large circular wooden column that conceals a bathroom within. The upper level balcony features a curved wall to provide visual access to the surrounding landscape without compromise to privacy.
