N01 is a minimalist chair created by Tokyo-based studio nendo for Fritz Hansen. Launching for Milan Design Week, the chair will be the first since Arne Jacobsen’s Grand Prix model to be constructed entirely of wood for Danish brand. The structure of the chair will be constructed entirely of wood while the seat and seat back produced in a layered veneer, utilizing Fritz Hansen’s plywood forming technique. The joints are combined in a way to appear as though they are not touching, producing a refreshing contemporary aesthetic while maintaining the traditions of the brand.
