A large wooden lambrequin with a striated design and a veined travertine marble floor, a style very much of mid-1960s Mexico, are the frame for the arched ribbed glass windows, which bathe the space in natural light.

The site, a 420 m2 penthouse on Masaryk Avenue in Polanco. The main avenue of the most expensive neighborhood in Mexico City, and famous for being the center of the city’s avant-garde.

大厅,其复古的触感在空间中被感知,是这种空间对比的前奏。金色调的金属墙面与这一场景相得益彰,石灰华大理石办公桌被一些绿色植物所包围,并由三盏球形灯加冕,把我们带到了过去,但把我们的意识留在了现在。

在一侧,两扇类似于银行金库的门把守着主办公室和董事会议室,两者都有深色的、有凹槽的木墙,与地板上石灰华大理石纹理的鲜明对比,还有一个长满植被的露台,作为一个过滤器,抵御这栋建筑所在的大道的活力。

The lobby, whose retro touches are perceived in the space, is the preamble to this spatial contrast. Gold-toned metallic walls complement the scene, where the travertine marble desk is framed by some vegetation and crowned by three spherical lamps, which transport us to the past, but leaving the consciousness in the present.

On one side, two doors that resemble a bank vault protect the main office and the boardroom, both with dark wood walls in grooves that contrast with the sharpness of the travertine marble grain on the floor and a terrace full of vegetation that serves as a filter against the dynamism of the avenue on which this building is located.

在另一侧,一扇棱形玻璃门通向主要工作区,中央有一张卡拉拉大理石桌,这里的工作是专门用于股票市场分析,这就是为什么天花板被设计为支持一个由六个屏幕组成的结构,这些屏幕被安排用来实时传输金融信息。

三根结构柱子围绕着房间,顶部是发光的环形物,给人以漂浮在半空中的感觉。在这里,金色的拱门以一种平衡和概念性的基调强调了金属的价值与办公室本身的使命的关系。

On the other side, a ribbed glass door opens to the main work area, with a central table of carrara marble, where work is dedicated to the analysis of the stock market, which is why the ceiling is designed to support a structure of six screens arranged to transmit financial information in real time.

Three structural columns surround the room, crowned by illuminated rings, which give the sensation of floating in the air. Here the golden arches accentuate, in a balanced and conceptual tone, the relationship between the value of the metals and the vocation of the offices themselves.

在这些拱门后面,在这个房间的一侧,有三间供私人分析师使用的办公室,每间办公室都有一张卡拉拉大理石桌面和绿色漆面铁艺底座的办公桌,上面漂浮着一根黄铜棒,为其提供照明;通过棱形玻璃窗可以看到这一点,它提供了隐私,但让光线发挥其作用,在整个空间射出反射。

Behind these arches, on one side of this room, are three offices for private analysts, each with a desk with a carrara marble top and green lacquered ironwork base, which are illuminated by a brass bar that floats above them; this is seen through the ribbed glass windows, which gives privacy, but lets the light do its work and shoot reflections throughout the space.

在房间的另一侧,两间配有大桌子的会议室,配备了现场和远程工作的设备,被折叠门隔开,它们有能力连接成一个大的工作间。后面是餐厅,其容量与会议室相同;厨房和厕所更加隐蔽,尽管它们与其他空间共享细节,如带有槽角的墙壁和高大的木质踢脚板。该项目再现了一种经济繁荣的美学,即墨西哥股市复苏的时代。

On the other side of the room, two boardrooms with large tables equipped to work on site and remotely, are divided by folding doors, these have the ability to connect to form a large work room. At the back is the dining room, with the same capacity as a boardroom; the kitchen and restrooms are more discreet, although they share details with the rest of the spaces, such as the walls with grooved corners and high wooden baseboards. The project recreates an aesthetic of the economic boom, the time of the resurgence of the stock market in Mexico.

通过家具设计,空间被完全定义,所以所有的桌子和办公桌都是定制设计的,以满足客户的需求。照明实现了一个温暖和温馨的氛围,光线是环境性的,在需要的地方非常准时,创造了对比和阴影,这要归功于材料的选择和不同质地的视觉效果。

Through the furniture design, the space was completely defined, so all tables and desks were custom-designed to meet the client’s needs. The lighting achieves a warm and cozy atmosphere, the light is ambient and very punctual where it is needed, creating contrasts and shadows, thanks to the material selection and the visual effect achieved with the different textures.

一个重新想象我们成长过程中的物品、材料和形式细节的建议。灯具、椅子或桌子和某些家具,只有在现代办公室或在当时的一些银行或官方建筑中访问我们的父母或祖父母时才可能看到。大理石、木材和金属是这个方案的主要元素,而光线是催化剂,它庇护并赋予每个形式和物体以物质性,让它们融入设计的当代性,成为永恒本质的折衷主义。

A proposal that reimagines the objects, materials and formal details with which we grew up. Lamps, chairs or tables and certain furniture that was only possible to see, visiting our parents or grandparents in modern offices or in some banks or official buildings of the time. Marble, wood and metal are the main elements of this proposal and light is the catalyst, the one that shelters and gives each form and object its materiality, letting them integrate to the contemporaneity of the design in an eclecticism of timeless essence.
