The apartment has a large bedroom on the upper floor connected to a backyard, and on the first floor the living room and kitchen are also connected to a small balcony. Although the rooms are open and without many walls, the staircase took up too much space in the room, blocking the overall view of the space. In addition, despite the outdoor areas and many windows, the concrete staircase also hindered the passage of light. The main desire of the resident was to have more space in the kitchen to host and organize dinners.

For this reason, the main change was to remodel the staircase, to make it more compact, visually permeable, and to make the most of the natural light. The choice was for a light metallic structure with loose treads. To finish the treads, the wood from the old staircase was reused. The color of the stair structure permeated all the other elements that were used in the project. Following the desire to keep things visible and close at hand, solid Tauarí shelves were installed in the kitchen instead of high cabinets.

The laundry room that was in the back of the kitchen was moved to the upper yard, thus making it possible to increase the workbench and to better organize the laundry room. In the bedroom the main issue was the small bathroom, without natural lighting and ventilation. To solve these issues, the wall that bordered the stairwell was replaced with an iron frame with a milky glass closure, where a ventilation window could be placed.

Being a spacious room with windows on all sides, the idea was to make the room's layout fluid, taking advantage of the space. The closet was formed by a solid Tauarí closet with steel feet, loose from the floor, ceiling and walls. The shelves on the wall hold shoes, jewelry, purses and other objects. The few new coverings were chosen so that they would talk to each other, creating an aesthetic unity: reddish locksmith, solid Tauari cabinetry, new internal floors and countertops in granilite, and external floors in fulget.
