The set of apartments in which the project is located has as a proposal the layout flexibility in the units, so that each resident has autonomy in the configuration of their environments. For this reason, the apartments were delivered with only one bathroom and the main infrastructure points of the kitchen. The other spaces, both intimate and social, could be defined according to the demand of the clients, a couple.
该项目通过创建两间卧室，并在其中一间卧室旁边插入一个新的私人使用的浴室，建立了亲密的区域。卧室的定义是插入一个黑色的核心，由浅色的墙壁和细木家具组成。在客厅里，采用了一个由金属架构成的货架和壁龛的模块化系统，使得根据新的需求改变支撑物的安排和数量成为可能。在这个系统中插入了一个为客户--一位生物老师--准备的工作和学习凳子，以及为这对夫妇准备的电子设备、书籍和物品。
The project established the intimate area by creating two bedrooms and inserted, next to one of them, a new bathroom for private use. The bedrooms were defined by the insertion of a black core, composed of light walls and woodwork. In the living room, a modular system of shelves and niches was adopted, structured by metal racks, making it possible to change the arrangement and quantity of supports according to new needs. Inserted in this system is a work and study bench for the client, a biology teacher, as well as electronic equipment, books and objects for the couple.

There is visual and usage integration between the kitchen, dining, and living areas, favoring the daily life of the clients, who usually receive friends and family and are gastronomy enthusiasts. The dining area establishes the interface between the living room and kitchen and can hold up to eight people. The kitchen is composed of a work line, composed by the countertop with stainless steel top for preparation, cooking, and sanitization, and a storage line, configured by the large cabinet in gray woodwork that follows the entire extension of the wall bordering the bathrooms.

Since the first conversations, the clients have shown the search for a cozy home and expressed the desire to express receptivity and simplicity, in the layout and in the choice of colors, materials, and textures. They are inspired, by their tastes, objects, and travel records, in the Brazilian and Latin American identity. Observing these considerations, they adopted the use of wood in different tones in the furniture and natural fabrics such as sisal and leather, elements whose warmth contrasts with the coldness of the ceiling, in exposed concrete, and the floor, in burnt cement.

The first piece of furniture the apartment received was the Giraffe stool, by Lina Bo Bardi, Marcelo Ferraz, and Marcelo Suzuki. The client couple took the stool to the empty apartment, as a humorous way of appropriating the place. This fact made it clear that the stool should assume a prominent role. It is positioned at the entrance to the living area, in the visual axis from the entrance door. It welcomes whoever arrives in the Petrópolis apartment.
