The Prado Norte Offices project consisted of transforming the top floor of a building located in Mexico City into the offices of Moreno Gómez Abogados.

We designed a light structure with a glass envelope in order to take advantage of the views to and from the existing terrace on the south-west side of the property, allowing abundant natural light to enter the offices as well as the proper ventilation of the spaces. This element also contributes to mitigate some of the effects of a dense, strident and polluted urban area; it provides transparency and at the same time functions as acoustic and thermal insulation.

The program consists of a reception area, four private rooms, a meeting room, a workstation, a kitchenette and a printing area. These areas are defined by tempered glass partitions with steel angle frames and half-height white lacquered glass partitions with a double function: to separate the work areas while maintaining transparency and at the same time acting as a blackboard. These divisions produce a geometric play of orthogonal lines, lights, reflections and transparencies. The green areas are visible from almost any point in the office, a condition that allows us to contribute to the improvement of the work environment.

In contrast to the glass, we used materials such as walnut wood on the walls and some ceilings, rectified Carrara marble coverings and partitions in white tones with gray veins and black natural stone floors; sober materials combined with a subtle lighting design allowed us to create a warm atmosphere with character.
