This project was made for a young medical couple with a daughter. Their request was always the greatest integration possible, and we loved it. We removed the window frames, transforming the living room and veranda into a single environment. The kitchen was also completely open to the living room and ended up becoming the protagonist of the house. The result was a very spacious apartment, with a youthful atmosphere, full of textures and splashes of color. Whenever we work with this demand of opening the kitchen to the living room, we need to give special attention to this kitchen.

In this project we used countertops in dekton Aurea, cabinetry in matte graphite and mint green lacquer, hydraulic tiles in geometric prints of gray and purple, platinum technocement on the walls, black Tube rails and pendants in the lighting and a pair of Joy stools from Jader Almeida. The access door to the service area, which is visible from the living room, was made in black metalon mesh with fluted glass, creating a light barrier between the spaces. The integration of the kitchen all open to the living room allowed amplitude to be the great mark in this part of the project.

In the living room, the large rack and hanging niche that go from one end of the wall to the other gained lightness with the metalon structure and the composition with empty sections filled with planters. The minimalism of the technocimento wall in conjunction with the Persian Acqua patch, compose assertively to the mix of pillows pulling the tone of the bricks. In the reading corner, together with the armchair Bo by Giacomo Tomazzi, we designed a bookcase in metalon following the concept of living, but without the use of wood, since the terracotta brick warms the environment. The furniture has square grid and corrugated glass closures that give the industrial tone to the space.

In the couple’s suite we opted for simple features that bring a lot of warmth and personality: gray canvas headboard with peroba lath on top, wine pendant, gray lacquer hanging table in the same shade as the wardrobe, linen curtains and a neutral rug. In front of the bed, we have a corner office, where we repeat the canvas of the headboard, follow the rack in a thinner countertop with drawers to receive the chair and finish with the sconce. To complete this very cozy room, an elegant bathroom with floor and wall mosaic in piguês marble, countertop in block in the same stone with built-in joinery, hanging cabinet with mirror doors and black matte metals.

In the daughter’s room we developed a bed with a double bed made of woodwork with a second floor for the dolls and games, even with a slide. On the other wall a practical resource: the higher bench, already at an adult height and in a more neutral coating, guarantees the longevity of the project for when the child is older, below it, besides the boxes with casters to store toys, a second support for the child’s current height. We reverted the utility room to the intimate corridor and transformed it into a very functional office / guest room. The bed with drawers creates storage space, as does the hanging ribbon cabinet. The mirror enlarges the room nicely and the bench also serves as a side table for the bed. In the social bathroom we used a solution that we love, the aluminum mesh with sandblasted glass to give a toilet face to a bathroom complete with shower stall. We opted for the Lurca Azulejos tiles, which brought joviality to our bw environment.
