我们当时在巴拉圭的亚松森,接到了来自圣保罗的电话,要求在距离首都40公里的阿鲁哈市的一个Sitio建造一个桑拿房。我们被告知,他们正在对房子的屋顶进行改造,不久之后,他们还想建一个桑拿房。

We were in Asunción, Paraguay, when we received a call from São Paulo with a request to build a sauna in a Sitio in the municipality of Arujá, 40km from the capital. We were told that they were renovating the roof of the house and that soon afterwards they would like to build a sauna.

就我们而言,出现的问题是:如何处理这些旧瓦片?仿佛我们所处的地方暗示了一种思维方式。

On our part, the question that arises is: what would be done with the old tiles? It was as if the place we were in suggested a way of thinking.

我们得到的方案包括一个干式桑拿、一个按摩浴缸、一个休息区和一个淋浴,将在一个支撑阳台的小水泥棚上实现。

We were given a program consisting of a dry sauna, a jacuzzi, a rest area and a shower, to be realized on a small concrete stilt that supports a veranda.

我们认为该项目是设计和施工之间的排练。

We thought of the project as a rehearsal between design and construction.

我们想象着,定义通往桑拿环境的线路将用屋顶翻新后留下的混凝土瓦片来建造。

We imagined that the line that defines the path to the sauna environment would be built with the concrete tiles left over from the roof renovation.

为此,我们与两位现场监督员一起调查了各种可能性,并意识到通过简单的干式支撑,只要通过5厘米的混凝土板的重量来稳定瓷砖墙,并通过细长的金属型材锁在一起,就有可能建造瓷砖墙。

For this, with the two foremen we investigated the possibilities and realized that by simple dry support it was possible to build tile walls as long as they were stabilized by the weight of a 5cm concrete slab and locked together by slender metal profiles.

由于工作已经开始,我们在自由市场上发现了一个来自阿鲁哈的当地人的广告,他正在出售拆迁砖。这些剩余的材料很适合用来建造桑拿房的环境,在那之前,桑拿房是没有物质定义的。

With the work already in progress, we found an ad on the free market of an Arujá inhabitant who was selling demolition bricks. This leftover material was opportune for us to build the sauna environment, which until then had no definition of materiality.

桑拿房需要热隔离的事实,使我们难以用拆迁砖覆盖巴伊亚砖的墙壁,因为固定在砖墙上的玻璃棉不能给砖块带来足够的摩擦力。

The fact that a sauna needs thermal insulation, made it difficult for us to cover the Bahia block walls with the demolition bricks, because the glass wool fixed to the block wall did not give enough friction to set the bricks.

与建筑大师一起,我们想象了一个由拆迁砖组成的自立墙。为此,我们预制了由9块砖组成的板块,用鸡笼网将其与水泥抹在一起。这些板块在三角形和人字形的支撑下是自结构的,允许使用剩余的砖块作为保温衬垫。

With the master builders we imagined a self-supporting wall of demolition bricks. For this, we prefabricated 9-brick slabs interlocked by a chicken coop screen plastered with cement. These slabs when triangulated and supported in zigzags are self-structured allowing the use of the leftover bricks as thermal lining.

这些程序是圣罗克桑拿房建设过程中基本知识衔接的结果。该项目被实现为一条贯穿这些经验的道路,并在休息时完成。

These procedures are the result of an articulation of essential knowledge in the construction process of the Sauna São Roque. The project is realized as a path that runs through these experiences and is completed at rest:

当你走下一个砖砌的斜坡时,一堵瓷砖墙出现了,将你引向建筑环境。你走到干式桑拿房,在那里你可以欣赏到风景,直到你身体的热极限。一个冷水浴,一个庇护所和一张可以休息的摇椅。

As you walk down a brick ramp a tile wall emerges and directs you to the built environment. You walk to the dry sauna, where you look at the landscape until the thermal limit of your body is reached. A cold water bath, a shelter, and a rocking chair to rest.
